Background information:

Phebe^6 Van Wicklen (Gerrit^5, Gerrit^4, Evert^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. 17 February 1790 and died 27 October 1813. She is the daughter of Gerrit and Geertye (Lott) Van Wicklen and was named for her grandmother, Phebe or Femmetie, (Covert) Van Wicklen. She married Winant Ferdinant Bennet 14 March 1809. Winant was bap. 3 September 1786 and died 9 August 1827. Phebe is buried in New Lots in the plot of her daughter, Gitty and son-in-law, Joseph Hegeman, and her memorial was still visible as of 1992. A nearby gravestone, no longer visible is likely the memorial of her husband, Winant.

Children: Ferdinand^7 Bennet was born 15 February 1810 and died sometime past 9 August 1877. He was bap. at Flatbush on 18 March 1810 as the son of Wynant F. Bennet & Phebe Van Wilkelen, witnessed by Ferdinand and Anna (Suydam) Bennet at Flatbush RDC. Gitty^7Ann Bennet was b. 26 January 1812 and died 4 March 1889. She married Joseph Hegeman and they had at least one son, Winant Bennet Hegeman.
